(HFP) Mental Health Workgroup
Purpose: To foster communication between MRMIB, HFP participating plans and county mental health departments to ensure coordination of services for HFP subscriber children who have SED conditions.
Who is involved: HFP plan and county mental health liaisons, MRMIB staff, CMHDA, DMH and MRMIB Phases II and III study contractor.
Objectives:
- To resolve any problems that arise when HFP children are referred to the county for assessment of SED services;
- Develop informational material regarding the referral process for parents of children suspected of being SED;
- Discuss MRMIB's Phase II and III study on HFP basic mental health and substance abuse services provided by HFP participating plans; and
- Discuss any other issues that are of importance to any workgroup member.
Frequency of Meetings: Meetings/conference calls occur every three months. They are held the last Thursday of the month from 10:00 am - noon.
