HFP Model Contract Solicitation

The Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board invited proposals for the delivery of health, dental and vision plan services for California's state and federal funded Healthy Families Program-a health, dental, and vision care insurance program for children in low and moderate income families.

The competition was open to public and private health insurers, health care services plans and specialized health care services dental and vision plans on a statewide and regional basis. These Contracts are exempt under law from formal competitive bidding. Contractors were selected through a competitive negotiation process.

The contracts are for the period July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008. Contracts were awarded by the Board on March 2,2005. Interested parties may review and download the solicitation packages for health, dental or vision services by clicking below.
