CHANGES TO THE HEALTHY FAMILIES AND ACCESS FOR INFANTS AND MOTHERS PROGRAMS

The "Access for Infants and Mothers" (AIM) Program is open to new enrollment and accepting applications to provide health care coverage to uninsured pregnant middle income women.

Babies born to AIM mothers (i.e., AIM-Linked Infants) are eligible for health, dental, and vision coverage in the Healthy Families Program (HFP). Although the HFP is no longer enrolling children, as of January 1, 2013, AIM-Linked Infants remain eligible to receive their healthcare coverage from the HFP. AIM-Linked Infants may be transitioned to the Medi-Cal Program in the future but they will still be eligible to receive coverage from HFP through their second birthday; as long as their household income remains within the AIM Program income guidelines.

As changes occur with regards to the AIM Programs, information will be made available to the public on this website and at our monthly board meetings. Should you like to receive information about upcoming public meetings of the MRMIB, please contact ExternalAffairs@mrmib.ca.gov, call (916) 324-6936, or fax (916) 324-4878.
